SQL to CSV on ToolBesty is a free converter that turns SQL INSERT statements into CSV without a database. Paste INSERT INTO … VALUES statements or open a .sql dump file, and every table becomes a clean CSV with column names as the header row. It also converts query results copied from psql, the MySQL client, or other consoles. Preview the rows, then download the CSV — conversion runs in your browser.
SQL dumps and seed scripts store data as INSERT statements, which are awkward to open in Excel or Google Sheets. Instead of restoring the dump into a database and exporting again, open the .sql file here. The parser reads statements character by character, so commas, parentheses, and semicolons inside quoted text stay in the right column. Escaped quotes ('' and \'), backslash sequences like \n, N'…' and E'…' strings, and NULL values (empty cells) are handled, and function calls such as NOW() are kept as written.
Multi-row VALUES lists and any number of INSERT statements are supported. Rows for the same table are combined into one CSV; when a dump contains several tables, pick the table to preview and download each one separately. INSERTs without a column list — common in mysqldump output — get column_1, column_2, … headers. Comments (--, #, /* */) are skipped.
If the text has no INSERT statements, it is treated as a query result: tables with | borders from psql or the MySQL client, or tab- and space-aligned output from other SQL tools. The CSV is saved as UTF-8 with a BOM so Excel shows accents and other non-English characters correctly, and fields containing commas, quotes, or line breaks are quoted.
